FAQs

When does No Contact publish?

Our issues are published monthly, typically on the third Thursday of each month. Features on The Remote Viewer are published throughout the year.

Where and how can I submit my work?

We no longer consider emailed submissions. You can send us your work through Submittable. Learn more about our submissions process here.

When can I hear back about my submission?

No Contact is run by an all-volunteer staff. We aim to respond to all submissions within 4-5 weeks. We may become overwhelmed at times, but if you haven’t heard from us in significantly longer than 5 weeks, feel free to email us a query! We are unable to respond to queries sent through our socials.

Do you pay contributors?

Unfortunately, we are not currently a paying market. As of February 2022, we are accepting donations to pay our writers, and plan to put that money back into the community as soon as we can. If you like the work we publish, and are able to, please consider making a small donation.

Do you accept collaborative work?

We encourage collaborative work! You can read a recent example here.

Do you nominate published pieces for prizes or anthologies?

Absolutely! We nominate selected pieces for the Pushcart Prize, Best Microfictions, Best Small Fictions, and the Best of the Net each year.

How can I write for The Remote Viewer?

You can pitch your column or feature ideas to editors@nocontactmag.com. Please include a short description of your column, a sample of your writing, and your bio.

I have a different question.

Feel free to direct any questions you might have to editors@nocontactmag.com. Our editorial team will get back to you as soon as they can.
